“Kara Deniz” resumes supplying electricity to Lebanon

The Turkish “Kara Deniz Power Ship” company decided to resume supplying Lebanon with electric power from its two ships, “Fatima Gul Sultan” and “Orhan Bey”, starting today.

The company pointed out that it took this decision “in a goodwill gesture, while looking forward to a constructive discussion with the Lebanese state in order to determine solutions to the existing issues in the coming days and weeks.”

She stressed that she is deeply aware of the enormous challenges that Lebanon is facing at the present time, and has demonstrated its continued support as much as possible, stressing its commitment to finding a practical solution.

The company used to supply 370 megawatts, or about a quarter of Lebanon’s electricity supply.
