Karachi Kings defeated Gladiators by 7 wickets

In the 22nd match of the ninth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Karachi Kings defeated Gladiators by 7 wickets.

In the match played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the Quetta Gladiators were bowled out for just 118 runs in 19.1 overs.

Among the other players, young opener Khawaja Nafee 17, captain Riley Russo 10, Sarfraz Ahmed 7 while Sherfeen Rutherford 9, Aqeel Hussain 14, Muhammad Amir 2, Muhammad Hasnain 5 and Usman Tariq proved to be guests of one runs.

On behalf of Karachi Kings, Hasan Ali took 4 wickets while Zahid Mehmood and Blessing Mazarbani took 2 and 2 wickets respectively.

Karachi Kings achieved the target of 119 runs in 15.3 overs, in pursuit of the target, captain Shan Masood returned to the pavilion after scoring just 7 runs, but James Vince and Tim Siffert established a partnership of 50 runs for the second wicket, but James Vince scored 274. He lost a wicket on an individual score while Tim Seifert was the guest of 49 runs. Shoaib Malik scored 27 runs and Irfan Khan Niazi remained not out with 4 runs.

Mohammad Amir, Aqeel Hussain and Abrar Ahmed took one wicket each for Quetta Gladiators.

Earlier, Kings captain Shaun Masood won the toss and decided to field first.

On this occasion, the captain of Quetta Gladiators Riley Russo said that he will try to make the access to the play-off stage easier by winning the match.
