Karrion Kross enjoys working under Triple H in WWE.
The former two-time NXT Champion addressed this topic during a recent interview on the Out of Character podcast, where he reflected on his first run on the main roster under Vince McMahon, one that was disastrous and led to Kross and his wife Scarlett. leaving the company.
Luckily for Kross, he was brought back to 2022 once Triple H took over, and feels much more confident in how he’s currently used. Below are all the highlights of his interview.
He says he now feels more comfortable turning down ideas after his first run on the main roster under Vince McMahon:
I didn’t apprehend at all. 99% of your success in this industry comes down to your ability to calm down under stress and pressure. I knew, when I came back, what I thought I had to say. I felt better about myself in terms of the confidence to shoot down an idea or a theme or a project that I knew wouldn’t work. On top of that, the NXT race they gave me, it was a killer race. They literally made me clean everyone and everything. Perform clean kills on everyone. I had no reason to believe anything would get weird or not work or anything like that. It’s the only thing they ask me to do that I’m not totally 100% on; how silly would it look, the one time they asked me to do this thing, if I said no? It was all in my head at the time.
How much he loves working for Triple H, adding that The Game brings out the best in everyone:
Coming back, I had none of those things to worry about. There, outside of WWE, financially my wife and I were good and we were having fun and working on different projects. We have always enjoyed working for Hunter. He’s like the easiest boss I’ve ever had in terms of accessibility to discuss ideas with. On the other hand, he might not tell you, but excellence is expected. He has a high standard for all his talents to achieve. He’s easy to talk to and everyone’s favorite boss, we all know he expects us to bring him. It brings out the best version of all of us and is one of the main reasons people love working with him. When we have a show, he’s there at ringside with everyone and does everything. We are very lucky to have this.
