Kasaragod: A professor of Kasaragod Central University who was caught by the vigilance while accepting bribe has been suspended. The action is once morest Professor A. K. Mohan of the social work department. Vigilance came to buy Rs 20,000 from a temporary teacher working in Mohan’s section. Vigilance action was taken on the teacher’s complaint.

It is reported that Mohan demanded two lakh rupees from the teacher for permanent appointment. While paying Rs 20,000 as the first installment, the professor got caught. Although Mohan was caught by the vigilance, the university did not suspend him. After widespread protests once morest this, the Vice Chancellor issued the order suspending the professor in the evening.
