Kate Mara and Jamie Bell are expecting their second child.

The 39-year-old “House of Cards” star broke the baby news in detail on Sunday with a picture posted on Instagram of herself and the other half walking hand in hand outside Claridge’s London hotel on June 28.

“There’s the three of us in this picture,” she captioned the photo as she wore a black leather jacket over a loose, crystal-embellished blush mini dress.

Soon Mara was filled with congratulatory messages from fans and fellow celebrities.

Actor Michael B. Jordan, who starred alongside Mara and Belle in the 2015 blockbuster “Fantastic Four,” commented with a three-star emoji.

American Hustle star Michael Peña wrote: “Congratulations!!!”

Mara and Bell began dating in 2015 after starring together in Fantastic Four, where they played Sue Storm and Ben Grimm respectively.

The couple are now parents to a daughter born in 2019. Belle also shares 8-year-old son Jack with ex-wife Evan Rachel Wood.

Mara’s path to motherhood was not easy. Back in June 2019, she revealed during an appearance on Dr. Elliot Berlin’s “Informed Pregnancy” podcast that she suffered a miscarriage in her first pregnancy.

She said at the time that this loss made her second pregnancy colorful with her daughter. Because even though she was excited, there was also an “element of fear”.

According to a 2021 editorial published in The Lancet’s medical journal, there are an estimated 23 million miscarriages worldwide every year, with 1 in 10 women suffering a lifelong pregnancy loss.
