Keanu Reeves could see himself playing in other John Wick films. In an interview for The Hollywood Reporter, he explained that his focus is on the franchise’s fourth installment for now.
In the hit franchise, the Matrix actor plays the titular character, a former hitman who is forced back into the underworld he left behind. He recently wrapped filming John Wick: Chapter 4, and during an interview for The Hollywood Reporter, he hinted that he’ll be back for at least one more installment. “We’re tackling one movie at a time,” he said, while director Chad Stahelski added, “We’re doing it chapter by chapter. Just like an author, you write the chapter, you scratch your head, you write the next chapter. »
Chad Stahelski also indicated that he and his actor were collaborating on many ideas for the character. “We keep finding new and interesting ways to make John Wick suffer. That’s where the action comes from. Find out how to make him suffer, then we design things backwards, ”he explained.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is slated for release in March 2023. Lionsgate producers originally planned to shoot the fourth and fifth films back-to-back, but reversed their decision in 2021 following the Covid-19 pandemic.
