Keep fueling the Troglioneta! Olimpia gets a hard-fought victory against Victoria and now focuses on the Clásico against Marathón

2022-08-06

Olimpia continues on a winning line after defeating Victoria (2-0) on matchday two of the 2022 Opening of the National League at the “Chelato” Uclés stadium.

The long-haired team did not wait long and Bryan Moya scored in the first attack play that the team generated at minute 3′. It is worth mentioning that the jaibos had already created danger with a shot by Yaudel Lahera.

Without scratching! Marathón, with a great goal from Juan Vieyra and another goal from Clayvin Zúniga, defeated Honduras Progreso

Moya, who was returning after the problem he had with Zulia, scored with a header after a great cross from Maylor Núñez, who went all the way down the right wing without much pressure.

In the rest of the first half, the Whites generated opportunities, but they were unable to continue increasing the scoring, the bad news was given by Yan Maciel who was injured at 42 and José Mario Pinto entered in his place.

For the complement, things did not change much, Olimpia dominated and Victoria waited for her opportunities, the highlight being two shots by Edwin Rodríguez.

We had to wait until the 84th minute for the whites to close out the game. It was Michaell Chirinos who took advantage of a rebound inside the area and secured the win for the long-haired team, who already have six points.
