New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has supported the strike of wrestlers in the sex accusation case against Brij Bhushan Saran Singh, who was BJP MP and former chairman of the National Wrestling Federation. He visited the Samarapanthal on Saturday evening and appealed to the entire people of India to declare solidarity for the strike.

Kejriwal said that the players are not fighting for their own interests, but to restore the Indian sports sector. The Aam Aadmi Chief also asked the people of India irrespective of caste, religion and politics to come to Jantar Mandar to reclaim the country.

“Whether you are a BJP member, a Congressman or an Aam Aadmi Party member, if you are loyal to our country, you should come here regardless of your busy schedules and even if you are on leave. Support should be given to wrestlers. They are fighting for the Indian sports sector and not for their own interests.

The Delhi Police decided to file a case against the accused after the Supreme Court intervened after a continuous strike for seven days. That’s how strong the opponent is. If they had not protested here, violence against girls would still have continued,’ said Kejriwal.

Kejriwal also criticized the BJP government for stopping drinking water for the sports players who started the strike. Kejriwal added that the center is ruled by cruel people only to abolish even basic human rights.

“The central government has cut off water and electricity for them. Why are you showing such cruelty to them? They are the proud people of our country. are our children. Arvind Kejriwal said, “I will provide all the help I can as the Chief Minister of Delhi.”

Earlier, the Delhi Police was ready to file a case after the Supreme Court intervened in the complaint against Brij Bhushan. A POCSO case has also been filed against the BJP MP on the complaint of a minor girl. Last Sunday, wrestlers including Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik started the second phase of the strike demanding action against Brij Bhushan.
