In the middle of their conversation, where they joked about being single, Díaz asked Raquel Argandoña’s daughter about the current situation of Hernán Calderón Salidas, her father.

Later his own daughter reported that the man was on artificial respiration and in an induced coma. “He was in an induced coma a week ago, intubated due to complications (respiratory failure) with pneumonia that developed as a result of COVID-19,” he explained then.
Total, Calderón Salinas ended up hospitalized for about two and a half months. At that time, his daughter even spent Christmas in one of the rooms of the clinic where he was hospitalized.
