This extension is excellent news for the Spurs, who are preparing for the future with a very talented, young player (23 years old in October) and whose room for improvement is still significant. With Dejounte Murray gone to the Hawks, Keldon Johnson should logically become the new boss of the AT&T Center. A role that will have to be tamed, even if the boy never seemed to be afraid of responsibilities. The stats will probably climb a little more but the victories should not be legion this season. With its only All-Star gone and a very young workforce, San Antonio is preparing nicely for a year under the sign of tanking.
