Pittsburgh (ots/PRNewswire) – Kennametal Inc. (NYSE: KMT) today announced its new FV Geometry, which features an innovative chipbreaker design that provides a stronger, sharper cutting edge for improved surface roughness and chip formation.

“The flexibility of our new FV geometry provides improved performance with consistent chip control at low or medium depths of cut and fewer process interruptions for tool changes,” said Scott Etling, vice president of marketing, global product management.

FV Geometry is equipped with channels that direct coolant closer to the cutting edge – for the machinist looking for maximum versatility and wanting to make uninterrupted and slightly interrupted cuts.
