Kerala Cricket Association has found 30 acres of land in Nedumbassery for its own stadium. KCA president Jayesh George said legal inspections of the property are in progress and the process will be completed within two months. He also stated that the Kerala Premier League will start in two years.

BCCI Secretary Jai Shah, who came to Kochi last December for the IPL star auction, inspected the area nearby along with KCA officials. The stadium, which was earlier fixed at Idakochi, is being shifted to Nedumbassery due to legal issues.

The area around Cochin International Airport is 30 acres. The National Highway also passes through the nearby area. If all conditions are favorable, the construction will be completed in four years. Jai Shah and others expressed their satisfaction during the inspection. Landlords are also ready to give away the land.

International cricket matches are currently held at Kariyavattam Greenfield Stadium in Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. But this is a stadium owned by Kerala University. KCA organizes matches by leasing the stadium.
