Kerala’s winning start in Ranji Trophy cricket. Kerala won the match by an innings and 166 runs at Rajkot. Meghalaya’s innings ended at 148 against Kerala’s 505 for nine in the first innings.
Basil Thampi, who took four wickets, smashed Meghalaya in the second innings. Eden Apple Tom and Jalaj Saxena took two wickets each. Manu Krishnan has one wicket. S Sreesanth, who bowled nine overs, could not take any wickets.

Earlier, P Rahul (147), Rohan Kunnummal (107) and Vatsal Govind (106) scored centuries to lead Kerala to a huge score. Sachin Baby (56) was the top scorer.
Khurana was Meghalaya’s top scorer with 75 runs. Dipu remained unbeaten on 55. Seven players could not see the double digit. Kerala’s next match is against Gujarat on the 24th.
