Kerch Ferry Crossing: Latest Updates, Passenger Stats, and Truck Restrictions

Over the past day, the ferries “Maria”, “Lavrentiy” and “Avangard” transported 406 cars and 514 passengers to Crimea.

There are 141 vehicles in line for the Kerch ferry on June 17. They are located in the accumulative parking lot in the village of Ilyich. Volunteers are on site. The rest of the accumulation sites have been put into reserve, the regional operational headquarters reports.

From the start of operation of the Kerch ferry crossing on October 8, 2022 to June 17, 2023, a total of 173,371 passengers, 139,937 cars and 17,562 railway cars were transported through the strait in both directions. The ferries operating on the line made 4,250 trips in total.

In the Krasnodar Territory, restrictions and rules for the passage of trucks to the Kerch ferry crossing continue to apply. Only heavy trucks with priority cargo – food and essential goods can travel through the region and cross to the Crimea on ferries.
