The enchantment of musical theater happened to Keren Kagarlitsky through Georges Bizet’s hit-packed Carmen. Even if the events on stage seemed a bit confusing for the then 13-year-old, the music and visuals overwhelmed her. The 31-year-old Kagarlitsky has now also found her professional home in the opera houses. She, who was born in Israel in 1991, is, among other things, house conductor of the Vienna Volksoper.
