The Playoffs are in full swing but the business does not stop for the players of the League. We learn today that Kevin Durant would have signed a lifetime deal with Nike. Spoiler, not many of them can say the same.

While waiting to see if Kevin Durant will lift the Larry O’Brien in June, the winger can already savor a great victory. According to the Boardroom media, the 2014 MVP would have extended his contract with Nike. And we are not talking about two or three additional years but a life contract!

Signed in 2007, when he arrived in the NBA at the Sonics, KD has come a long way with the famous American brand. Since his debut in the League, Durant has marketed 15 pairs of shoes. As part of this signature, we even learned that a sixteenth was on the way.

This new deal is quite an event because we know that shoe deals are also a sign of status in the NBA. You’re a superstar, you land a partnership with a big brand. But how many League stars have a deal… for life? Not much, really not much. We know that Stephen Curry is one of the lucky few with the Under Armor brand, and the duration of the deal is still linked to certain clauses. When it comes to Nike, there is only three boys who are concerned: Michael Jordan (obviously), LeBron James and now Kevin Durant. Not bad to join a club that includes perhaps the two best players in the history of the League.
