We didn’t talk about it later than this morning, when we learned that in addition to leaving the Cavs, Kevin Love would soon be entitled to the immense privilege of seeing his jersey removed from the ceiling of the Cleveland hall. Proof if it were needed of the importance of the gas in Ohio for more than eight years, and tonight it is therefore Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro and all the clique who smile since Love will land soon in Florida to punch some string from the corner.
At 34, the five-time All-Star is no longer the double-double machine he once was with Wolves, nor even a man capable of being the third man in a team that is playing for the title as with the Wolves. Cavs in 2016, but the boy’s experience coupled with his skill and professionalism should do great good for a Heat team that is looking for its cruising speed, just under two months from the start of the Playoffs.
Kevin Love will most likely come off Erik Spoelstra’s bench and therefore bring his offensive science and – relative – greatness to Mayami. Another big shot from Pépère Pat Riley, not necessarily what takes you to the ring in 2023 but a reinforcement, at least, useful and intelligent for the Heat.
