In the history of Malayalam cinema, King of Kotta is the highest grossing film in terms of pre-booking business figures. The film collected more than 3 crores from Kerala alone with a day left for its release. 2.93 crore was previously the highest pre-sale business in Kerala by KGF 2.
The film will be released on 2500 screens in more than 50 countries, reaching over 500 screens in Kerala alone. The ticket sale of the film, which is jointly produced by Zee Studios and Wayfarer Films, is also getting huge acceptance online.
The film stars Dulquer Salmaan in the lead and has a huge cast including Aishwarya Lakshmi, Shabir Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, Shammi Thilakan, Shanthi Krishna, Anikha Surendran. Cinematography of King of Kotha is done by Nimish Ravi. Jakes Bejoy and Shaan Rahman are composing the music for the film.
