Khaled Qabbani shouts: Why do we fight each other… for a position? let them take it

The head of the “Beirut Facing” list, former minister Khaled Qabbani, lost his nerve in an election meeting, asking: “How long will we keep fighting, and for what?”

Qabbani, who is supported by President Fouad Siniora, appeared in a video clip angry and shouting in front of the crowd: “What are we fighting with each other? Why the position? Go and take it.”

The attendees tried to calm him down, but he continued to ask these questions: “Do you not share anything but each other? Why do we want to keep fighting each other? For a chair… for a position… and who’s Karmal?”

Qabbani heads the “Beirut Faces” list, backed by President Fouad Siniora, which will participate in the parliamentary elections in Beirut’s second district, and it includes 11 candidates.
