After two more than complicated seasons at PSG, Kheira Hamraoui announced his departure on social networks. If the midfielder says she regrets the lack of support from the club, she also says she is proud to have gone through with her contract.
Between PSG and Kheira Hamraoui, it could hardly end well. Appeared 14 times this season in the league, the midfielder will not extend her adventure with the Parisians, and is now free of any contract. On social networks, the former Lyonnaise announced her departure.
In November 2021, Hamraoui sees her adventure in the capital turn tragic after being violently attacked in a case that is now in the hands of justice. One of his ex-teammates, Aminata Diallo, is still accused of having been the sponsor of this ambush. The hostility between the two players made the climate unbearable in the team and Kheira Hamraoui’s daily life difficult to live with.
Several months after the outbreak of this affair, Hamraoui regrets the attitude of the management of Paris Saint-Germain towards him: “This page which has been the most painful of my entire career, is turning today. Despite two years of hellish storm in a club that abandoned me and did everything to make me leave, I knew how to face this pressure on a daily basis.

After overcoming these ordeals, Hamraoui says she is proud to have gone through with her contract with PSG, and believes that she will emerge stronger from this traumatic experience: “I made a promise to myself to honor my contract until at the end and it’s done with pride and courage. Today, I leave with my head held high? I gave it my all and fought with all my might on the pitch and for this club.”
Despite a complicated relationship with the supporters and his management, Hamraoui wanted “to thank the people at the club who have been kind to me during these two years, as well as my coaches who, despite the pressures inside and outside the club, still got them to play. I think I was able to restore their trust and support on the pitch (…) Forever Paris Saint-Germain!”
Tensions with supporters
Recently, Hamraoui was talked about with a message pointing out the attitude of the supporters. After the Parisians’ defeat against OL last Sunday, the player challenged the ultras via an enigmatic message: “Insults; No excuses!! Where are the men?? Patrick Juvet.”
Suspected of having had a share of responsibility in the aggression of Hamraoui, Aminata Diallo had received the support of the Collectif Ultras Paris. The group of supporters had also criticized the now ex-parsia in February 2022 via a banner: “Respect the women’s section! Aminata Diallo we support you strongly, Hamraoui, who’s next?” Despite everything, Kheira Hamraoui is leaving “not with sadness, but with pride.”
