The KHL has named three contenders for the prize of the most valuable player of the “regular season”
The three nominees included Dmitry Yashkin and Alexander Nikishin from SKA, as well as Alexander Radulov from Ak Bars. Winner will be announced May 18th

Ak Bars forward Alexander Radulov, SKA forward Dmitry Yashkin, and St. Petersburg club defender Alexander Nikishin were among the top three nominees for the Golden Stick award – the most valuable player of the KHL regular season last season. About it reported on the KHL website.
Yashkin became the top scorer and sniper of the regular season, and now he can become the fourth player to win the Golden Stick more than once. He had 62 (40+22) points in 67 matches.
KHL named the best players of the Gagarin Cup final
Radulov in the first season after returning from the NHL, following the results of the regular season, became the league’s third scorer. He has 57 (25+32) points in 62 matches.
Nikishin became the top scorer-defender of the regular season, rewrote performance records for Russian defense players. He scored 55 (11 + 44) points in 65 matches.
The winner will be announced at the KHL season closing ceremony on May 18.
Earlier, Sergey Mozyakin (four times), Vadim Shipachev (twice), Danis Zaripov, Nikita Gusev, Radulov and Yashkin became the owners of the Golden Stick.
