BAND Khruangbin released their fourth album, A La Sala, via the music label Dead Oceans.

The album A La Sala was created by Khruangbin with their fellow sound engineer Steve Christensen and is a peek into Khruangbin’s world and their vision for music, complete with a new perspective.

On the album A La Sala, Khruangbin chooses many simpler paths in order to reach unexplored points, while they think about the future.

Khruangbin also released a video clip for the single Hold Me Up (Thank You), which is filled with sweet lyrics about love for family and those closest to you and beautifully combined with an excellent rhythm section and a thick chorus with colorful guitar playing.

This summer, Khruangbin is ready to perform at well-known world music festivals such as Coachella, Bonnaroo, Latitude, and Nos Alive. Apart from that, they are ready to hold their UK and European tour.

Khruangbin’s journey is unique, even from the time they started their career. The three members of Khruangbin, namely bassist Laura Lee Ochoa, drummer Donald “DJ” Johnson Jr., and guitarist Mark “Marko” Speer make Khruangbin an audio and visual representation of their life experiences which musically are far from the expectations of pop music in general and only rely on instinct. and various things that inspire them.

The A La Sala album, which features 12 songs like puzzle pieces from Khruangbin’s unexplored past.

Gathering a pile of ideas from many places starting from audio recordings of sound check sessions and various long trips, Khruangbin slowly put all the pieces together in the recording kitchen to create the album A La Sala.

Over the past two years, Khruangbin have stuck to their musical vision as their concerts at legendary venues such as Radio City Music Hall in New York, the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, and Alexandra Palace in London have sold out.

Throughout their career, Khruangbin have released five albums featuring stars such as Toro y Moi, Men I Trust, and Nubya Garcia, collaborating with Malian guitarist Vieux Farka Touré in honor of Vieux’s late father, Ali Farka Touré, through the album Ali which received adoration from The New York Times and NPR.

That same year, Khruangbin released their collaborative EP with Leon Bridges entitled Texas Moon, which received rave reviews from The New York Times, NPR, Uproxx, Vulture, and FADER praising their efforts in pushing the boundaries of the psychedelic R&B genre.

Khruangbin appeared to greet their music fans in Indonesia in March 2019. Their first concert poster in Indonesia was created by an illustrator from Indonesia, Kendra Ahimsa, who is also a member of the band Crayola Eyes. (RO/Z-1)
