The facelift of Kia Seltos is a much awaited model by Kia fans. South Korean manufacturers have said that they do not have to wait much longer. The facelifted Seltos will be launched in India on July 4, 2023.

The Kia Seltos is one of the most popular midsize SUVs in the highly competitive segment. The new Seltos was expected to be showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo, but we couldn’t see the SUV anywhere at India’s biggest display event.

Like the global model, the new Seltos facelift will get changes in its exterior and interior layout. Along with that, the powertrain options will also get new changes. Talking about the exterior changes, the new Kia Seltos facelift gets a redesigned front fascia. The vehicle gets a tweaked front grille, updated LED daytime running lamps, fog lamps and revised headlamps.

Apart from that, even the front bumper gets a new look with a redesigned skid plate. Moving on to the side profile, the vehicle only gets a new set of alloy wheels. The facelift model also gets tweaked LED tail lamps at the rear with an LED connecting light bar that covers the width of the boot lid.

Reports suggest that the cabin layout of the new Kia Seltos facelift will also be different from the current model, with the new model getting a new cockpit layout for the instrument console and touchscreen infotainment system. While the instrument console will be an all-digital unit, the center console will be revised with new controls for the audio system and climate control.

As with the international model, automatic versions may get a rotary knob-style transmission lever. The Kia Seltos facelift will retain the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 PS and the 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 115 PS. However, the new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine will replace the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

Hyundai has already removed the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Creta’s line-up in 2023, and Kia is expected to do the same, along with discontinuing the current model. According to reports, the new 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine will continue to be offered with both a six-speed manual and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine is reported to produce 160 PS of maximum power and 253 Nm of peak torque.

Kia is in high spirits as it has achieved better sales figures in early 2023. The models in its Indian portfolio like the Sonet, Seltos and Carans, including the Carnival premium MPV, have been well received and well received.
