Ukraine says it has recaptured the embattled town of Robotyne in the south-east of the country. “Robotyne has been liberated,” the military quoted Deputy Defense Secretary Hanna Maljar in a statement. The army is trying to advance further south as part of its counter-offensive against the Russian invading troops.
The Ukrainian military announced last week that its forces had hoisted the national flag in Robotyne, but that the village was still under Russian fire.
