Killed after putting too much mayo in a sandwich

A Subway franchise employee was shot and killed by a customer following an argument that turned sour over the amount of mayonnaise in the sub.

The tragic incident occurred Sunday evening at a branch shared with a gas station in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

According to local channel CBS 46, an employee also suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital.

“Believe it or not, [la dispute] was caused by too much mayonnaise in the sandwich,” said one of the owners of the establishment, Willie Glenn.

Met at the scene of his franchise, the co-owner of the famous American chain mentioned that the restaurant manager was armed at the time, but that he was unable to neutralize the alleged shooter.

“My handler was able to exchange gunfire with him, but obviously she didn’t hit him seriously and the shooting continued in the parking lot.”

Atlanta police confirm that a suspect is currently being questioned by investigators.

The shooting comes on the heels of a series of fatal incidents in Atlanta, a city that is dealing with issues of gun violence.
