The Korea Football Association announced on the 11th the list of the men’s national team to participate in the EAFF-E1 Championship (formerly East Asian Cup). Kim Joo-seong will wear the national team clothes again after a month since the ‘2022 AFC U23 Asia Championship’ held in June. This time, it is the selection of an adult national team, not a representative by age. As a result, Joo-Sung Kim was honored to be selected for the first national team in his career.

Kim Joo-seong said, “I had a great experience in my football life through the U23 Championship. He personally felt a lot of areas for improvement and improvement. He’s been selected for the first time in the national team, so he’s a bit startled, but he’ll do his best and learn a lot. He wants to have a chance to work hard and grow into a better player,” he said.

Cho Kyu-seong and Kwon Chang-hoon, who were built-in for the national team, were also included in the list. After playing the team K-League game side by side, the two players will depart for Japan on the 17th to participate in the EAFF-E1 Championship.

Manager Kim Tae-wan said, “It may be difficult physically because it is the season, but I believe that the young players will do well. (Cho) Gyu-seong and (Kwon) Chang-hoon were selected all the time, but I hope that the newly elected (Kim) Ju-seong can lead Korean football well in the future through good experiences.”

Meanwhile, the men’s national soccer team, to which the three players belong, will play against China, Hong Kong and Japan on the 20th, 24th, and 27th, respectively, at Toyota Stadium in Japan.
