Sold recently at 500 FC, the price of a bag of three condoms is currently trading at 2,000 FC and even more in the city of Kinshasa.
For the Kinshasa population, this price increase is simply unimaginable and increases the costs of customers whose social life is already largely held hostage by the high cost of several essential goods. We no longer know which way to turn, they say, specifying that a country can never move like this. Men and women only ask one thing: “decrease in the rate of goods on the market”.
“How can we be proud of our authorities if all goods are extremely expensive, to the point of increasing the price of condoms; that does not make any sense. What are the authorities doing at this time when all prices are going up? This city of Kinshasa is becoming unlivable, and they (authorities) must not come and say that they were not aware of this tragedy,” a resident told ActuRDC.
It should be noted that the cost of living is increasing dramatically in the capital of the DRC. Goods and services are worth more than human effort in this central African country.
