MONTE CARLO – Kenya’s Faith Kipyegon kept her promise at the Diamond League meeting in Monaco. The 29-year-old improved a world record for the third time this summer. The Olympic champion over 1,500 m ran the mile in 4:07.64 minutes in the Principality on Friday. She smashed the record for the rarely run distance by five seconds. The dethroned Sifan Hassan was not yet able to benefit from the development in the shoe sector in 2019.
