Kirill Grebenshchikov: "Pregnancy test" will no longer shoot

The thoughtful, serious and emphatically calm artist Kirill Grebenshchikov, whom the audience fell in love with on the projects “Pregnancy Test”, “Late Term”, “Messing’s Student”, “Seraphim the Beautiful” and many others, turns 51 on June 22. He plans to celebrate his birthday with his family.

– I shoot a lot, go on tour with performances. I try to spend every free minute with my family. Modern Moscow, which smells of gasoline, is not inspiring. I’m hiding from the hustle and bustle in my apartment, – Grebenshchikov shared with Express Gazeta.

Cyril does not like to talk about his wife Olga, a poetess. He only notices that they are happy for their adult daughter Polina, who followed in his footsteps and studies at the acting department of VGIK.

Cyril’s parents were also artists. Mom, Natalia Orlova, worked at the Theater. Stanislavsky. Father, Yuri Grebenshchikov, played a lot at the Taganka Theater and in the cinema. He starred in the films “Rooks”, “Even before the war”, “Adult daughter of a young man.”

“I was not even 16 when my father was hit by a car,” Grebenshchikov shared. – If I had been younger, I would probably have taken his death even harder … A famous poet was driving (Alexander Mezhirov, cousin of the sculptor Ernst Neizvestny.), He then left for the USA, now he is no longer alive … Apparently, then he was in such shock that his whole life instantly went to hell. He dragged his dad to the side of the road and drove off. And three days later he turned himself in to the police with a confession. Before that, he was very successful. But he was afraid of responsibility. Fear was stronger than conscience.

Cyril is very similar to his father. At one time he played a lot on stage. And then he was fascinated by shooting in the series.

– I love acting, – Grebenshchikov does not hide. – Someone complains that the shooting takes place in a fast mode, that the shooting day lasts a long time. All this does not bother me. It gives adrenaline.
