WHILE posing for photos in an elegant white Gucci dress with a square neck and Fred Leighton jewels, the 41-year-old actress experienced a bit of a problem – or rather, a slip-up.
In the video shared by Variety, Dunst can be seen walking along the carpet while looking at her husband, Jesse Plemons (who was a few steps behind), and smiling for the camera as she moves.
Her multitasking abilities came to a screeching halt when, as soon as she reached out her arms to pose with her husband, she slipped and found herself entangled in the arms of another man – a life-sized Oscar statuette who luckily caught her!
Dunst’s survival can also be credited to her own quick reflexes as she balanced herself on the golden statue, like a graceful ballet dancer.
The pair greeted the near-fall with humor. The Friday Night Lights actor, dressed in a suit, smiled while his wife laughed and hid her face as he whispered something in her ear.
Throughout it all, they still managed to work in front of the camera like professionals.

This year, Plemons’ film, Killers of the Flower Moon, was nominated for 10 awards, including Best Picture, Best Director (Martin Scorsese), Best Actress (Lily Gladstone), and Best Supporting Actor (Robert De Niro).
This Sunday’s carpet looks to be a challenging venue for the slipping stars.
Earlier in the evening, actress Liza Koshy took a big fall due to her large platform high heels.

In the viral moment, Koshy actually fell in her off-the-shoulder red Marchesa dress, but continued to laugh throughout the whole thing, even joking that a “drain hole” was responsible for her fall.
Dunst and Plemons secretly married in July 2022 at the luxury GoldenEye resort near Ocho Rios, Jamaica after six years together and welcoming their two sons – Ennis, 5, and James, 2.
They met on the set of Fargo and have worked on several other projects since then, including their upcoming film Civil War.
“Because we fell in love on set, we fell in love creatively first. “I think we’ll always come back to that, in a way that doesn’t involve our real lives,” Dunst told Marie Claire in a recently published interview.
“And also, listen, we don’t talk to each other on set. I leave him alone, he leaves me alone.” (people/Z-3)
