Klarna makes a profit for the first time in years – IT start-up

The Swedish payment service provider Klarna was in the black for the first time following years of losses in the summer quarter. The privately held fintech company achieved an operating profit of 130 million Swedish crowns (11.1 million euros) in the period July to September, following a loss of two billion crowns a year ago, it announced on Monday.
