Jumped off the Titanic before it sank.”
These words certainly didn’t sit well with Warriors members. After inquiring about what Barkley said, Klay Thompson responded disdainfully, “Has he ever praised us?” Then he said unceremoniously: “Bakley can’t understand winning a championship. How hard is it, let alone for several years? We are still competing in this league. How many wins are we now? 10 wins and 12 losses? There are still 60 regular season games to go. He has been jealous of us since 2015 , so it’s not surprising to say this.”
Thompson believes that the Warriors actually played very well against some playoff opponents. All they need to do well is the last 10 minutes of the game. He is full of confidence in the Warriors: “I will never lose confidence in this team – we have gone through too many battles together – never.”
