NEW YORK (AP) – Julius Randle scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the New York Knicks, who returned to the .500 mark by beating the Indiana Pacers 110-107 on Saturday night.
RJ. Barrett added 24 points to New York’s cause, which improved to 17-17 with his sixth win in his last 10 games.
Derrick Rose had 17 points and Immanuel Quickley scored 10 for the Knicks, who hit the .500 mark for the first time since Jan. 21, when they were at 8-8.
Doug McDermott had 20 points for Indiana. However, the Pacers fell to a 15-17 mark after suffering their third trip in a row.
TJ McConnell finished with 17 points, while Domantas Sabonis scored 15, grabbed seven rebounds and lavished nine assists. Justin Holiday had 13 points and Myles Turner added 11.
The third and final meeting of the regular season between these Eastern Conference teams did not carry the significance of their long-remembered playoff series in the mid-1990s. But the tight and intense duel did recall that time.
