Paris: Knife attack at school in France. A French language teacher was killed in the attack. Two people are seriously injured. Interior Minister Gerald Dermanian said the attack took place at Gambetta High School in the city of Arras.
Police arrested the 20-year-old assailant. Reportedly, the attacker is a former student of the school. The violence took place in the school parking lot. French authorities said they were investigating whether the violence had terrorist links. French President Emmanuel Macron will visit the school where the violence took place. The authorities also clarified that the violence is not related to the West Asian incident.
Three years ago, a student stabbed a teacher to death at a school in Paris. The Russian refugee student was later shot dead by French police.
