A man was seriously injured with a knife on Wednesday followingnoon on Place Liedts in Schaerbeek, indicated the local Brussels North police (Schaerbeek/Evere/Saint-Josse-ten-Noode), confirming information from La Capitale.
“The North police zone was called around 4 p.m. for a knife fight at Liedts Square“, explains a police spokesperson. “When the patrol arrived on scene, the victim appeared to be shot in the throat. Officers provided first aid before the victim was taken by emergency services to hospital. She was still conscious but her precise state of health is not known.”
The Brussels public prosecutor’s office has meanwhile opened an investigation and is expected to communicate this fact on Thursday at the earliest.
