Ko Ko Neuquén – Senillosa without bus service due to subsidy claim

The service offered by the Ko Ko company to link Neuquén and Senillosa is suspended due to a claim for subsidies. The measure taken by the firm was surprising for the passengers who were waiting for the buses this Friday. It is not known when the benefit will resume.

The provincial director of Transportation of Neuquén, Juan Alberto Ciarrocca, explained that they learned of the company’s decision this morning and that it was an order that came from Buenos Aires, demanding the payment of subsidies.

Ciarrocca indicated in AM Cumbre that the subsidies are paid from the Province “as a counterpart to what the Nation provided, through the Public Transportation Compensatory Fund.”

He explained that the provincial government pays the subsidies monthly in advance, while the Nation sends funds monthly in arrears. “The contributions, by instruction of the minister, are made the first days of the month so that the company can meet the largest expenses, which are the salary issue,” he highlighted.

He assured that the subsidy transfers began yesterday and were completed this morning, including the one corresponding to Ko Ko.

According to the official, the workers also found out regarding the stoppage of the service this morning and that UTA did not take any forceful measures.
