Koehler opens his career with Al-Ahly with a friendly five against Petrojet

The first team of Al-Ahly club defeated its guest Petrojet by five goals to one, in the friendly match that was held this evening, Wednesday, at Mukhtar Al-Titch Stadium on the island.

The events of the match, which took place at Al-Ahly Wei Al-Salam Stadium, came at a good level, amid Al-Ahly’s control over its course, accompanied by offensive effectiveness, while Petrojet relied on counter-attacks.

Al-Ahly team opened the scoring in the first half through striker Hossam Hassan, before Rami Rabia doubled the score with a second goal from a penalty kick.

Ahmed Abdel Qader also managed to score the third goal for Al-Ahly before the end of the first half, while Petrojet managed to reduce the difference by scoring the only goal for the petroleum team in the match.

Al-Ahly succeeded in returning to score again, after scoring the fourth goal through the average of the field, Amr Al-Sulayya, while newcomer Shadi Hussein finished the goals festival by scoring the fifth in favor of the Red Genie.

Today’s meeting is the first confrontation for Marcel Koehler, the new coach of Al-Ahly Club, who was contracted to train the Red Castle this month, to succeed Portuguese Ricardo Soares, who was dismissed from his position after two months of taking over the job.
