Koke makes history with Atletico in the Spanish League

Koke, the Atletico Madrid midfielder, was on a date with making history during his participation with his team during its meeting once morest its host Celta Vigo in the Spanish Football League championship.

Cookie became the player with the most participation in La Liga matches in the history of Atletico Madrid, breaking a record that had been holding for a long time.

Cookie, 31, participated in his 402nd match with Atletico in the local competition, beating Adelardo Rodriguez, the icon of the Spanish capital team.

Koke also broke the record as the player with the most matches with Atletico in various competitions, when he played his 554th meeting with the team last October.

The Spanish international player was included in the ranks of the youth teams at Atletico Madrid, before playing his first official match in the Spanish League, during a 5-2 loss once morest Barcelona in September 2009.

Over the course of 13 years with Atletico, Koke won eight major titles with the team, including the Spanish League in 2014 and 2021, while he rose with the team to the Champions League final twice.
