Kolkata: Gokulam Kerala celebrates a resounding victory in I-League football. Inter beat Kashi 4-2 in the match at Kalyani Stadium. In another match Rajasthan F.C. Royal defeated Kashmir 1-0.
Nikolava Stoyannikov scored a brace for Gokulam. K. Abhijit and Alex Sanchez scored a goal each. Inter Kashi lost after Vikas Singh Fijam took the lead in the 23rd minute. Gokulam hit back in the 30th minute through Alex Sanchez. Gokulam took the lead in the 39th minute through Abhijith. Stoyannikov made the score 3-1 in the 74th minute. Mario Burko scored a goal for Inter Kashi with four minutes to go. Stoyanikov scored again to seal Gokulam’s victory. With the win, Gokulam finished fourth with 20 points from 12 matches. Inter Kashi is also at the 7th position.
Gokulam Kerala beat Odisha FC 2-1 in the women’s league. Odisha lost for the first time in the season. Rajasthan won the match against Royal Kashmir on Marin Mudrasiak’s goal. The crucial goal was in the injury time of the second half.
