The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that it has selected eight projects in Ukraine, Indonesia, and Egypt as the 2023 projects of the K-City Network, which is promoted to support the creation of smart cities in overseas cities and expand international cooperation.

This year’s K-City network project is divided into two types: △planning type △overseas demonstration type. An international competition was held from April, and a total of 30 projects were submitted from 18 countries.

First, the planning type is a project that receives applications from overseas cities and supports the establishment of basic plans related to smart city development.

Among them, in the case of Uman, Ukraine, we plan to establish a smart city master plan for transportation, infrastructure, and housing for post-war recovery, so that systematic projects can be implemented in the post-war recovery process in the future.

In addition, in the case of Indonesia’s new capital, we will support a pre-feasibility study for the establishment of a smart city control center to verify business feasibility, and prepare a bridgehead for Korean companies to advance into the new capital smart city business.

Next, the overseas demonstration type is a project to support the demonstration of smart city technologies and products of Korean companies in overseas cities. I did.
