In the early hours of the night from Sunday to Monday, reality show star Kourtney Kardashian (42) and drummer Travis Barker (46) said yes. With an Elvis double as pastor. But now there are doubts that the marriage vows of the two are officially valid.
The oldest Kardashian sister had been to the Gambling City with Baker for the Grammys. After a boozy afterparty with Lenny Kravitz, 57, the couple appeared at 1:30 a.m. Monday morning at the One Love Wedding Chapel on Las Vegas Boulevard. Along with a couple of bodyguards and their own photographer.
Marty Frierson, owner of the small chapel, told People magazine: “I had no idea they were coming until they stood in front of me. They paid and asked for Elvis Presley to be their pastor.” This then started with the 30-minute ceremony at 1.45 a.m. Frierson was there as best man: “They came, got married and the bride threw the bouquet in the driveway. They showed a lot of love for each other and had fun!”
At 2.30am the newlyweds reappeared at the Wynn Hotel where they were staying. Cell phone videos show Baker having to support his new wife because she was apparently drunk and unable to walk straight.
Kourtney Kardashian’s marriage may be invalid
According to “TMZ”, the problem with the wedding is that it is probably not valid. Because Kardashian and Barker had so spontaneously decided to walk down the aisle that they hadn’t ordered the contingent beforehand and therefore didn’t have the marriage license required in America with them. A source said: “Kourtney and Travis have nevertheless insisted that Elvis declare them husband and wife. They will, however, have other marriage ceremonies on a larger scale.”
Barker had proposed to Kourtney in October 2021. Featuring a massive diamond ring on the beach at the Rosewood Miramar Beach Hotel in Montecito, a favorite haunt of the celebrity couple. The two have been a couple since early 2020. (thc)
