Kovid cases on the rise; Many cities in China are subject to stricter controls, Covid 19, China, lockdown

BEIJING: The disease is reported to be re-emerging in China, which is considered to be the epicenter of the corona virus, as the Kovid epidemic generally recedes around the world. A lockdown has been announced in the Chinese city of Shenzhen in anticipation of an increase in Kovid cases. Restrictions have also been tightened in Shanghai. The number of patients per day in China is as high as 3,400.

The lockdown is currently set for March 20. Shenzhen is one of the most sought following cities in China. About 1.7 crore people have been barred from leaving their homes. The aim is to prevent Kovid from spreading to nearby Hong Kong.

Public transportation is completely blocked. Authorities also ordered the people to undergo three Kovid inspections. Schools were reportedly closed in several northeastern cities, including Shanghai, and various restrictions were imposed in 18 provinces.

Since 2019, when the corona virus was first detected, China has imposed strict restrictions on the country. Lockdowns, travel restrictions and extensive inspections were implemented as part of this.
