Kovid cases rise again in Kerala; 4801 more people were diagnosed with the disease, TPR. 6.75%

Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 4801 persons in Kerala. The worst affected districts are Ernakulam 1081, Thiruvananthapuram 852, Kozhikode 467, Thrissur 376, Pathanamthitta 370, Kottayam 315, Alappuzha 232, Kannur 215, Kollam 188, Malappuram 184, Idukki 170, Palakkad 140, Wayanad 128 and Kasaragod 83.

71,098 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) is 6 wards in 5 Local Government Areas above 10. There will be strict control here.

There are currently 1,04,353 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,02,007 are under home / institutional quarantine and 2346 are under observation in hospitals. A total of 225 people were newly admitted to the hospital.

Currently, out of 22,910 cases of Kovid, only 9 per cent have been admitted to hospitals / field hospitals. In addition, 229 deaths have been reported which have been appealed by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 48,895.

Today, 76 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 4458 people were infected through contact. Contact sources for 231 are not clear. Thirty-six health workers were affected.

1813 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 486, Kollam 25, Pathanamthitta 125, Alappuzha 67, Kottayam 50, Idukki 39, Ernakulam 323, Thrissur 62, Palakkad 47, Malappuram 81, Kozhikode 252, Wayanad 61, Kannur 121 and Kasaragod 74 were cured. With this, 22,910 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 51,90,913 have so far been released from Kovid.
