Kovid cases are declining in India. Kovid has confirmed 27,409 more people in the country in the last 24 hours. This brings the number of active cases to 4,23,127. 12,29,536 tests were conducted yesterday. According to the Ministry of Health, 75.30 crore tests have been conducted in India so far.
In the last 24 hours, 82,817 people have recovered. The total number of survivors rose to 4,17,60,458. Yesterday, 347 Kovid deaths were also reported. The daily positivity rate also dropped to 2.23% while the weekly positivity rate dropped to 3.63%.
So far 173.42 crore vaccine doses have been given in the country under the nationwide vaccination drive. In the last 24 hours, 44.68 lakh doses were given, according to the Union Health Ministry. So far 39,15,704 doses have been given to health workers, 54,69,127 doses to precautionary workers and 82,58,894 doses to those over 60 years of age.
“Among 15-18 year olds, 5,24,34,558 were given the first dose of Kovid vaccine and 1,64,08,841 the second dose,” the ministry said.
