Kozhikode: Chicken meat with artificial color was seized from a Kozhikode shop. The food safety department seized the meat from a shop called Kausar Kokhimanti, which operates on Gandhi Road.
20 kg of chicken meat prepared for cooking Alfam was seized.
Food items found in a dirty freezer were also destroyed. The freezer where the chicken was kept was so unsanitary that it might become infected at any moment.
Freezer, sample of seized food etc. will be sent for detailed examination. Food safety officials informed that Kausar Kogimanthi had failed before.
