Kremlin: “No intention of meeting between Putin and Biden”

The Russian presidency (the Kremlin) said yesterday that Moscow and Washington “have not scheduled a presidential meeting” between Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a press conference in the capital Moscow that “no contact is taking place at the moment”. And to add, “any conflict will end, of course, at the negotiating table”.

“We frequently discuss the rapid completion of the special military operation in Ukraine and achieving the goals set by Russia,” he said.

On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a press release that “Moscow is working to end the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible.”

In addition, US President Joe Biden said “he will certainly be ready to meet Putin if there is a serious and real will on the Russian side”.
