Kreplak visited the municipality to attend the 10th Congress of General Medicine

Nicolás Kreplak inaugurated the 10th Congress of General Medicine and Health Teamwhich took place in the Multicultural Space of Sea of ​​Ajo in conjunction with the Municipality of The coast.

The event organized by the Association of General Medicine of the Province of Buenos Aires (AMBASSADOR) together with the Municipality of La Costa and the Movement for the Health of the Peoples, lasted four days (September 14, 15, 16 and 17) and concluded this Saturday.

In La Costa, Kreplak highlighted the possibility of “building fairer health that reaches everyone.” In this sense, he stressed: “We have a lot to do, but there is much that has been done.”

Kreplak argued that, at the beginning of the government of Axel Kicillof in 2020, 5.1% of the provincial budget was spent on health. And already “in 2022, without the pandemic, it reaches 7.1%,” he reported and clarified that “those resources that perhaps were previously in financial speculation, today were put at the service of health. It was invested in hospitals and thousands of workers have been incorporated”.

Regarding the pandemic, the Buenos Aires Minister of Health specified that “health workers have done a lot, they have had the responsibility of leading a people that has also done a lot. We have managed to get through that moment, with many losses that could not be avoided in a pandemic, but at least with the certainty that the State was there to take care of everyone. That construction, that value, that effort that has been made, we have to put it first”.

For his part, the Secretary of Health of La Costa, John of Jesus expressed: “It is a pride for us to have a tenth edition of the Congress of General Medicine with the participation of the minister and a great turnout with more than 600 registered” on the opening of the congress where the president of AMGBA was present, Cintia Altamirano.

In addition, De Jesús maintained that the “view of health as a right not only individual, but also social and universal” and went on to say that “we are going to a primary care model, where the subject of health is the person. We are not going to look for health at the hospital: at the hospital we are going to recover it, in the neighborhoods and in our house there is promotion, prevention and reduction of risks, which are all those things that allow us to have a healthier life” .

Finally, the Secretary of Health reported: “We are working in the Primary Health Care Centers of the district and in networks integrated into the Health system, which allows us to articulate, coordinate and provide a much more organized service.”
