Kristian Blummenfelt only has triathlon on his mind, he dominates the scene over all distances. Now follows his last test in Hawaii. He may seem like Superman – and yet he has a problem.
WIf you want to understand how this man ticks, a quote is enough. When asked what series he likes to watch most, Kristian Blummenfelt replied, “My favorite series is ‘Dexter’ because of its personality.” What kind of personality? “Dexter is obsessed with something. He wakes up and he always has the same routine, he works all day on this one thing.”
Anyone who knows Dexter knows his obsession is murder. A subtle difference: “My obsession is not murder,” says Blummenfelt, “it’s triathlon.” Like Dexter, however, he works every day on perfecting one thing that he really likes: triathlon. Nothing else. In this small world of his sport, Kristian Blummenfelt is a killer.
