The trade unions had intensified their strike to protest the delay in the payment of salaries to KSRTC. Ruling opposition unions have intensified their protests once morest the non-payment of salaries following Easter. An indefinite dharna was also held in front of the TDF Secretariat demanding payment of salaries before the fifth day of every month.
The management announced that the salary would be paid this evening or Tuesday morning. 30 crore sanctioned by the Finance Department has been handed over to the Transport Department. It was also informed that the salary would be disbursed as soon as it was handed over to the corporation.
