KUWAIT: The Kuwaiti cricket team on Monday defeated the Qatari national team 130-129 in the Doha-hosted Asian tournament to qualify for the 2024 Cricket World Cup in the US. The Kuwaiti team achieved their third victory in these qualifiers.
The score was raised to six points. Before today’s match, they had two straight wins against the Qatari and Maldivian teams before losing to the Saudi team. The competition against the Qatari team was strong as the team players had played against Qatar before. Mahmood Abdullah said.
The points progress to the second stage of the qualifiers in Nepal. Kuwait won against the host Qatar team with a score of 124-123 and against the Maldives team with a score of 103-100.
